Ukrainian rowing champion Larisa Zhalinskaya, who left for Moscow, will be disqualified for life and deprived of all titles and awards. This decision has already been made by the Executive Committee of the Rowing Federation of Ukraine (FAGU) and transferred to the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
FAGU President Vladimir Vlasenko in an interview with Tribuna. com reported that the disqualification process was completed on their part immediately after the appearance of a video confirming Zhalinskaya’s move.
According to him, the athlete was never part of the main team, and her sporting achievements were limited to the national level. Zhalinskaya served in the National Guard of Ukraine, but went abroad on a tourist package.
" She competed in the lightweight division, in which no one was ever particularly considered for the Olympic Games.. She is “like that” for statistics,” Vlasenko said.
Vladimir Vladimirovich clarified that previously no problems were noticed against the background of Zhalinskaya’s civic position. The Federation emphasized that the decision on disqualification is final and not subject to revision.
