Kate Middleton has released a new statement about her health following her battle with cancer last year.. The official page of the Princess of Wales and her husband Prince William published a letter confirming that the future Queen of Great Britain is in remission.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well over the past year.

My heartfelt thanks to all those who walked quietly alongside William and me as we went through it all..

We couldn't ask for more. The care and advice we received throughout my time as a patient was exceptional.

In my new role as joint patron of The Royal Marsden, I hope that by supporting pioneering research and clinical excellence, and promoting the well-being of patients and families, we can save many more lives and transform the experience of all those affected by cancer.

It's a relief to be in remission now and I remain focused on recovery.. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis knows, it takes time to adjust to the new normal.. However, I am looking forward to a busy year ahead. There's a lot to look forward to. Thank you everyone for your continued support."
