WBC lightweight world champion Shakur Stevenson shared his thoughts on a possible fight against IBF title holder Vasily Lomachenko.
The American boxer said that he considers this fight unlikely, suggesting that his potential opponent is afraid of him.
“I’m not really sure that I’ll get the fight with Lomachenko. I think he's afraid. I sparred with him back in the day. I think he's been afraid of me ever since.
Will Top Rank be a problem in making this fight happen Yes, they will definitely get in the way too, so I hardly hope for this fight. But I think that Turki Al ash-Sheikh can arrange a lot of things. So I hope that he organizes our fight,” Stevenson said in a comment to the YouTube channel The Ariel Helwani Show.
It was previously reported that the IBF has set a deadline for Lomachenko to defend his title..
