Ukrainian Dmitry Pidruchny was nominated for the title of best biathlete following the results of the fourth stage of the 2024/25 World Cup, which took place in Oberhof, Germany. This is reported by the International Biathlon Union (IBU). At the stage in Oberhof, the captain of the Ukrainian national team twice got into the flower ceremony. Dmitry took fourth place in the sprint and finished sixth in the pursuit. In addition to Pidruchny, the Frenchwoman Paula Bothe (win in the sprint, second place in the single mixed), Norwegian Maren Kirkade (second places in the sprint and pursuit, bronze in the mixed relay) and Milena Todorova from Bulgaria (bronze in the sprint) are also vying for the award. Voting for the best biathlete of the stage will last until 19:00 Monday, January 13. Note that Pidruchny is the second Ukrainian who this season was nominated for the title of best biathlete at the World Cup..
