A man who was lucky enough to win the historic Powerball jackpot just a few years ago lost one of his homes in the Los Angeles wildfires. This was reported by Unilad..
Edwin Castro made headlines when he landed a massive $2 billion Powerball jackpot by purchasing a ticket at a local gas station back in November 2022. His life changed completely in February 2023 when he purchased a winning lottery ticket.
Castro received a lump sum payment of $997.6 million and became almost a billionaire overnight.

One such property he bought was a $3.8 million home in Malibu, but recent photos obtained by the US Sun show the property burned to the ground. All that appears to be left is smoldering wood and a foundation.
The fire first broke out in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening (January 7), and hurricane-force winds of up to 100 mph blew it across the Pacific coast to Pasadena.
Let's remember that Focus previously wrote about which stars lost their homes in the forest fires consuming Los Angeles. So, later Mel Gibson was added to the list. The actor was on Joe Rogan's podcast in Texas when his house burned down..
