WBC, WBA and WBO heavyweight world champion Alexander Usik was recognized as the best boxer in 2024 according to The Ring magazine.

The Ukrainian boxer received the corresponding award from a reputable publication at a ceremony in London.

Usik had two fights last year. In the first fight in May, the Ukrainian defeated Tyson Fury by split decision, took the WBC title from him and became the absolute heavyweight champion.

Afterwards, in December, the Ukrainian champion, in a rematch with the Briton, successfully defended three main belts in the division, defeating his opponent now unanimously.

In addition, the first Usyk-Fury fight was recognized as the main event in the boxing world in 2024.

Also, the best round of last year was the ninth three-minute in the first fight between Usik and Fury. Then the Ukrainian boxer managed to knock down his British opponent.
