The day before, a message appeared on the official MLS profile on the X network (in the screenshot) about the transfer of striker Kego Furuhashi from Scottish Celtic to the ranks of American Atlanta. The forward himself came on as a substitute for the Celts in the match against Dundee United around this time.
According to Sky Sports, the confusion is caused by the real interest of the American club in the Japanese. Former Celtic coach Ronnie Deila is interested in signing Furuhashi. However, at the helm of Atlanta, he is forced to settle for more modest signings.
Just before the publication of the MLS, the official resources of Atlanta announced the transfer of another Japanese - Kaiman Togashi from the modest Sagan Tosu. Unlike Furuhashi, he defended the colors of the Japanese national team only at the U-23 level (5 matches, 2 goals). Celtic have no plans to sell the striker yet.
By the way, ISPORT previously discussed the transfer needs of top Premier League clubs during the winter window.
