Reductions in large pensions will be carried out through the use of reduction factors. The larger the pension, the higher the coefficient for reducing it. This innovation is aimed at increasing the fairness of the pension system, reducing excessively high payments, which significantly exceed the average level of pensions in Ukraine.

The restrictions will not affect the pensions of those who defend Ukraine at the front or have participated in hostilities since the beginning of the war, that is, since 2014. This decision takes into account the special status and contribution of such citizens to the security of the country.
