Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that newly elected US President Donald Trump may be the first among world leaders to fly to Ukraine by plane after the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The Ukrainian leader stated this in a podcast with American artificial intelligence researcher Lex Friedman..
“I hope that the airport in Kyiv will open - then it will be easier to fly to Ukraine,” said the American podcaster.
Vladimir Zelensky replied that he hopes for Donald Trump’s visit to Kyiv after the end of hostilities, and would like the American president to fly to Ukraine by plane.
" It seems to me that this would be symbolic,” Zelensky said.
Note that on December 24, Lex Friedman asked Zelensky for an interview in Russian. The request was argued by the fact that both interlocutors “know Russian”, and the interview will turn out to be more dynamic. Vladimir Zelensky refused to speak with the podcaster in the language of the aggressor country and during the conversation answered questions in Ukrainian.
Let us recall that on January 2, Vladimir Zelensky, in an interview at the only telethon, said that he would meet with Trump after the inauguration. He noted that he plans to talk with the 47th President of the United States about the terms of the ceasefire and security guarantees.
