The European Cup match will take place on Wednesday, November 6.

Match of the fourth round of the main stage of the Champions League between Donetsk Shakhtar and Swiss Young Boys served by a team of referees from Israel. The UEFA press service reports this.

The head referee was appointed 43-year-old Orel Grinfeld, who will be assisted by Roy Hassan and Idan Yarkoni. Gal Leibovitz will serve as reserve referee.

For the VAR system, we are led by Thiago Martins from Portugal, and also by the Dutchman Rob Dieperink.

It is significant that Grinfeld previously officiated the match between Shakhtar and Real Madrid (1:1) at the group stage of the Champions League in 2022. He also refereed the match Zori vs. Manchester United (0:1) in Liza Europe, Vorskli vs. Lokomotiv Zagreb (2:3) in the UEFA Europa League selection, Dinamo vs. AZ (2:0) in the Champions League qualification.

In addition, Grinfeld officiated two matches of the national team of Ukraine - against Cyprus (1:0) and Germany (1:2).

The Shakhtar – Young Boys match will take place tomorrow, the 6th of November, near Gelsenkirchen at the AufSchalke stadium. The starting whistle blows at 19:45 outside Kiev.

After three rounds, Shakhtar is in 30th place in the main stage of the Champions League with one point. Young Boys have zero points after three rounds and zero goals scored.
