PFL announced the format of the First League of Ukraine in the 2024/25 season.

Based on the successful implementation of the two remaining seasons. The first league at the first stage is divided into two groups of 9 teams according to the geographical principle, as they play in two teams with each other - 18 rounds are planned, 72 matches in the skin group in the first stage. 16 matches for each team, and a total of 144 matches.

At another stage, the First League is divided into the “Champion” group and the “Vibuvannya” group, with an important nuance. Based on the results of the first stage, 1-4 months of groups (A and B), a group is formed for the exit before the UPL with all successful performances (points, goals, etc.). Disciplinary sanctions of the first stage. So, in the “Championska” group there are 8 shortest participants - 8 matches for each team. Based on the results of the other stage, the first two teams will win the right to direct promotion to the UPL, and the third and fourth will play playoff matches for promotion in class.

Based on the results of the first stage of the 5th-9th month, groups A and B will form a group for the right to play in the First League based on the results obtained (points, goals, including. disciplinary sanctions, then) the first stage. There will be 10 teams and 10 matches for each of them. The teams of the " Teams that finish in 8-10 places will move directly to the Other League.

Here's a clarification: at the other stage, the teams of group A will only play matches with the teams of group B in two stakes, 32 matches are planned for the Champion group and 50 matches for the Vibuvannya group. A total of 226 matches will be played in the 2024/25 First League Championship.
