The Catalan team has made changes to its stadium to comply with UEFA standards.

Girona announced on its official website that it will be possible to hold Champions League matches at its Montilivo stadium.

The Catalan club rejected the necessary permission from UEFA. Whereupon the Girondins will carry out certain reforms in their arena in order to meet the necessary standards of European Cup tournaments.

Apparently, Girona has already guaranteed a place in the group stage of the Champions League for the coming season, since Michel's team finishes in the top 4 of the Spanish La Liga.

Girona leads Barcelona by one point while fighting for another place in the Spanish championship.

Girona's upcoming match, in which Ukrainians Viktor Tsigankov and Artem Dovbik will play, will be played against Alaves. The match will take place today, May 10, about 22:00 outside Kiev.
