The head coach of the Irish national team was sent to retirement after not attending Euro 2024

The Football Association of Ireland on its Facebook page announced the resignation of the head coach of the national team, Stephen Kenny.

"

The Board of Directors and all members of the FAI would like to express our sincere gratitude to Stephen and his assistants for their important work, professionalism and outstanding dedication to the team, fans and Irish football.. We wish Stephen every success in his future,” reads the FAI statement.

The 52-year-old Irishman has been with the national team since the 2020 season.. As of this year, 40 matches, 11 wins, 11 draws and 18 losses with a goal statistic of 49:45.

It is significant that the Irish team could not qualify for Euro 2024, finishing fourth in its group, ahead of Gibraltar. France, the Netherlands and Greece are ahead.
