“Weavers” were named as substitution for Laurent Blanc.

Olympique Lyon on its official website voted for the appointment of Fabio Grosso as the head coach of the first team.

The 45-year-old Italian fachyvets replaced Laurent Blanc, who signed a contract with the “weavers” until June 30, 2024, with the possibility of an extension for another season.

It is significant that Grosso, towards the end of his football career, stole the colors of Lyon from 2007 to 2009, becoming the first Italian player in the history of the club.

Now he is the first Italian coach in history to coach the first Lyon team. The remaining place is the work of Grosso, Italy, Frosinone, having won Serie B in the 2022/23 season.
