The Ministry of the Interior has completed the drafting of a bill on the declaration of weapons that were distributed to citizens at the beginning of a full-scale war. This is reported by sources ZN. UA at the Ministry of the Interior.

This bill will be submitted to the government. In mid-June, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will determine its attitude towards it and, probably, will submit it to the Verkhovna Rada for consideration.

At the legislative level, it is proposed to create an opportunity for civilians to declare firearms that were received or found and used in order to repel the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation.

The declaration procedure will be simplified and free of charge. Such weapons are state property, which may be in the possession and use of civilians during the period of martial law.. Within 90 days after its completion, the weapon is subject to transfer to the National Police..

In case of establishing the involvement of the found or voluntarily declared firearms in the commission of criminal offenses, it will be seized by the National Police of Ukraine.
