In February, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and the Red Cross of Ukraine launched a project to support veterans who received a disability of I or II group as a result of the war. At the end of February, the first 10,000 applications were received. In March, the second stage of the project for obtaining financial assistance for 15,000 applicants was launched.

How veterans can get UAH 16,000.

The project applies to adult citizens of Ukraine who, in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On the Status of War Veterans, Guarantees of Their Social Protection”, have been granted the status of a person with a disability as a result of the war of group I or II and information about whom is included in the Unified State Register of War Veterans.

Persons with disabilities as a result of the war of the I or II group will be able to receive financial assistance in a lump sum in one payment to the bank account of the applicant in the amount of UAH 4,000 per month. Payments will be made within four months, regardless of whether they receive other types of benefits.

Pass electronic identification and authentication using an integrated electronic identification system, an electronic signature based on a qualified electronic signature certificate.

Check your last name, first name, middle name, tax registration number and enter your international IBAN bank account number, phone number and email address.

Before submitting the application, double-check your data and agree to the processing and transfer of data about yourself in order to receive financial assistance from an international organization.

The Ministry of Veterans also reminded that those persons who had technical or banking errors when applying for registration for stages I and II need to make sure that the errors were successfully eliminated, check their data and apply again.

The most common mistakes:.

failed to sign and send the application correctly;

an error was made in the PIP when generating an electronic digital signature;

the bank account specified in the application is not in hryvnia currency;

the expiration date of the bank card specified in the application;

the applicant is not the owner of the international bank account IBAN specified by him in the application;

international bank account IBAN entered in the application with an error;

the bank card is blocked by the owner for various reasons;

a limit on a bank card is set in the amount less than the payment in the amount of UAH 4,000.

Also, if the international bank account number IBAN has changed, you must re-submit a new application.
