The prosecutor's office of the Kiev region will challenge the court's verdict in the case of the murder of 5-year-old Kirill Tlyavov, according to which the former policeman was sentenced to four years in prison, the other was released from serving his sentence with a probationary period of two years, and two more defendants were acquitted.

The Office of the Prosecutor General noted that the verdict, in accordance with the requirements of the Criminal Procedure Code, has not entered into force, and the juvenile prosecutors of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office will appeal against it in the manner prescribed by law.

On June 3, 2019, five-year-old Kirill Tlyavov died in a Kyiv hospital without regaining consciousness.. He received a fatal gunshot wound to the head near the courtyard of his house in Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky on May 31.
