Ukrainian Victoria Onoprienko won gold at the 2023 European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, which is being held in Azerbaijan.

19-year-old Onoprienko became the first in exercises with a hoop. She scored 33.250 points ahead of Adi Asya Katz (Israel) and Boryana Kalein (Bulgaria).

For Victoria Onoprienko, this gold medal of the 2023 European Championship was the first in her career in individual disciplines at the level of the continental championship.

It should be noted that Onoprienko became the first Ukrainian European champion in individual competitions since 2005.. Then the gold was won by Natalia Godunko in exercises with a ribbon.

Ukrainian women also won a silver medal in the team competition. For Ukraine, this medal was the first in 3 years. European Championship in Baku finishes today, May 21.
