Since yesterday, from May 15, the movement of trucks through the Yagodin-Dorohusk checkpoint has been resumed as usual. This is reported by the website of the Ministry of Reconstruction..

It was possible to unblock the checkpoint as a result of negotiations with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development of Poland, the leadership of the Lublin Voivodeship.

The problem arose due to the strike of Polish carriers, which since May 4 blocked the movement of trucks through the Dorogusk-Yagodin checkpoint.. Thus, they protested against fines for the lack of permits for transportation to Ukraine from third EU countries.

“The strike, which lasted more than 10 days, caused significant damage to our carriers and exporters. However, we were able to find a solution and agree on unblocking the movement,” said Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction - Minister for the Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov.

Earlier, on May 7, the Ministry decided to temporarily stop the requirement for permits for Polish carriers carrying out transportation to Ukraine from any country of the European Union. This was one of the key demands of the Polish strikers.. At the same time, the position of the Ministry is that such transportation needs permits and is not bilateral.. Clarification awaited from the European Commission.
