Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine Epiphanius said that the OCU will check the priests of the Moscow Patriarchate who transfer to the Ukrainian Church, Volyn News reports. According to the head of the OCU, recently the communities have been joining the Orthodox Church of Ukraine together with the abbots.

“If the priest did not openly preach the ideology of the “Russian world”, did not stain himself with this ideology, then, of course, we accept him. One can be convinced of this very easily - according to the community. When the community decides to move and the priest supports the community, this indicates that he is a patriot, although he was part of the Moscow Patriarchate for some time, ”Epifaniy noted..

He is convinced that there are many priests in the UOC-MP who are patriots of Ukraine. However, the primate of the OCU does not exclude that those priests who now preach the ideology of the enemy will also want to go to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in the future..

“Of course, those clergy and bishops who openly preached this ideology, who have Russian passports, but in the future want to go to the OCU, must repent, renounce Russian citizenship, renounce the ideology of the Russian world. Then there will be an appropriate decision on their admission to the OCU. I see and hear that Ukrainian society cares about this. Therefore, we will check, do everything to ensure that such people, having come to the Ukrainian church, do not destroy it from the inside,” Epifaniy added..

Residents of the small community of Roslavichi near Kiev have passed their long official path of transition from the UOC-MP to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. They faced opposition from officials, telephone law and court. But we won. Now the priest of the OCU Father Vikenty serves in the church of the village. Although his former owner, Father Ferenc, still walks around the village, sanctifies belts and commemorates someone in the village cemetery. And there is an element of deep drama that is unfolding in Ukraine..

And what to do, because the fans of the UOC-MP and I remain to live in the same villages and in the same country? How to make sure that in the literal sense of bleeding Ukraine does not kindle another war - church-civil? A member of the religious community Roslavichev, director of the Institute of the City Alexander Sergienko is looking for answers to these questions in the article and explains the situation in an article for ZN. UA “How the small village of Roslavichi returned to its roots”.
