On Europe Day, the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine became a full member of the International Commission for Testing Drivers CIECA. The Commission brings together the competent authorities and organizations in the field of road safety and conducts theoretical and practical examinations for obtaining the right to drive vehicles. It is reported by the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Membership in CIECA will facilitate the implementation of a number of already launched projects and the preparation of new regulations that will bring Ukrainian legislation closer to the provisions of EU legislation in this area.

Also in May, Ukraine will immediately join the Congress, which is organized annually by CIECA. This will be the 55th General Assembly and Congress of CIECA, which will be hosted by one of the members of the International Commission for Testing Drivers, the Austrian Road Safety Council..
“Participation in the International Commission for Testing Drivers will make it possible to more effectively introduce EU standards in Ukraine and improve the processes of passing theoretical and practical exams, will expand the opportunities for recognizing and exchanging Ukrainian driver's licenses in other countries without passing exams due to their unification. After all, it is the unification of efforts and constructive cooperation of the competent authorities in this area that is the key to achieving effective results,” the message says..
It should be noted that this international association was founded in 1956 in The Hague. Now CIECA unites the competent authorities of 38 countries of the world, of which 24 are members of the European Union.
