Vorskla Poltava goalkeeper Pavel Isenko saved two penalties in a row in injury time of the match of the 17th round of the Ukrainian Premier League against Veres.

First, at 90+3 minutes, 19-year-old Isenko parried a shot from Dmitry Klets. However, after that, trying to prevent Mikhail Shestakov from finishing off, the captain of Vorskla, Vladimir Chesnakov, committed a foul in the penalty area again, and the referee appointed a second penalty.

Pavel was able to beat off the second penalty kick, which this time was performed by Semyon Vovchenko, and the fight itself ended in a draw with a score of 2:2.

Note that Isenko won all three penalty shootouts for Vorskla, in which he took part. In 2020, in the semi-finals of the Ukrainian Cup, he made three saves against Mariupol, and in February 2023, as part of a friendly Winter Cup tournament, Pavel helped the Poltava team twice more in the penalty shootout with Veres and Polissya.

Isenko is a graduate of Vorskla Poltava, and made his debut in the Premier League on July 3, 2020 in the game against Lviv (2:2).
