If a person works and receives the minimum wage, you can pay a single social contribution (SSC) - in addition to what the employer has already paid to the country's budget.

In Ukraine, the minimum wage is 6,700 hryvnia, while the employer pays a tax for the employee in the amount of 1,474 hryvnia. But if a person has the opportunity to additionally pay the same amount of ERUs himself, then when assigning a pension, it will be considered that he has earned not UAH 6,700, but twice as much - UAH 13,400.

If a person has received a modest salary all his life, then even if he has sufficient insurance experience, he should not hope for a “miracle” that the future pension will be high.

It should be noted that when determining the amount of a pension, a person’s salary is taken into account in the formula for calculating a pension in the form of a coefficient. To determine it, employees of the Pension Fund of Ukraine take a person's salary for each month and divide it by the average salary in Ukraine (as of the month of calculation). The higher the coefficient goes, the higher the amount of pension you can get.
