The minimum official salary of a civil servant is now at the level of UAH 5,368, while everyone else has UAH 6,500.

“At the same time, the presence of a large number of allowances, bonuses and other payments makes it possible to accrue in some positions such amounts of payments that are simply not perceived by society,” recalled the head of the Servant of the People party, Elena Shulyak..

In her opinion, due to such an imbalance, a double problem arises: dissatisfaction with people who support the public sector with their taxes, as well as dissatisfaction with civil servants themselves.

Changes are planned in the classification of positions of civil servants, as well as a new clear salary structure, which is dominated by a fixed part.

" We want to change approaches, introduce a transparent system based on job classification, strengthen the role of official salaries, stop excessive unjustified payments, and also introduce a mechanism for optimizing the maximum number of employees in state bodies,"

It is planned that in 5 years the level of remuneration in the civil service will be equal to 70-90% of remuneration for the same position in the private sector.
