How is a disability pension awarded?.

For persons who have received group I disability, the amount of the pension is 100% of the old-age pension. A person must have insurance experience from one to 10 years, depending on the age at which a person is recognized as disabled.

The amount of pensions for persons with II disability group is 90% of the old-age pension. The amount of required insurance experience is 1-14 years.

People with disability group III receive 50% of the old-age pension if they have 1-14 years of insurance experience.

Applying for a disability pension: what documents are required.

You can apply for a disability pension offline (at any service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine) or online (on the PFU electronic services web portal).

So, you need to provide the following documents:.

Written application for a pension.

Passport or birth certificate (for children). If a person has an ID-passport, a residence registration certificate is required, which is issued together with the passport.

RNUKPN (registration number of the taxpayer's registration card).

Employment book or other documents confirming the length of service + payroll.

Documents certifying the special status of a person (for example: a certificate from the MSEK, a certificate of a person with a disability as a result of the war).

Photo (for registration of a pension certificate).

For military conscripts, the application for a disability pension must also be added:.

certificate of illness issued and certified by the military commissariat at the place where the serviceman was deregistered or a certificate from the military medical commission (copy).

In the case when disability occurred after dismissal from military service, the following must be added to the application for granting a pension:.

certificate of the military commissariat on military service, indicating the date of conscription, the date and reason for dismissal from military service;

conclusion of the MSEC that disability is associated with military service.
