“At one time, the introduction of electronic declaration of public servants was one of the biggest successes of anti-corruption reforms in Ukraine. Thanks to this, anti-corruption authorities and the public were able to identify dozens of employees with illegally acquired wealth,” the author of the petition notes..

He notes that officials and officials exempted from the obligation to submit declarations from March 2022 are unreasonable, since for most of them there are no objective obstacles to submitting declarations: they are not on the front line, protecting the state, and have the opportunity to fill in information about their income.

“By restoring the declaration, the authorities will demonstrate their intolerance to manifestations of corruption during martial law. All those who, in their positions during the war, allow themselves to steal state funds, and not work for the victory of the state, must be discovered and held accountable..
