The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, which has long been discussing the decision to dismantle some monuments, advised the Kyiv City State Administration to remove the monument to General Nikolai Vatutin, as well as recognize it as a monument of monumental art. This is stated in the official statement of the Ministry of Culture.

" Regarding the monument to Soviet General Nikolai Vatutin, the MKIP expert commission recommended that the KSCA dismantle and relocate it, and recognize the object as meeting the criteria and features of a monument of monumental art,"

The department emphasized that in view of the recommendation of the commission to dismantle the object, the possibility of deciding not to enter the monument into the Register of Immovable Monuments is being considered, about which the MKIP will inform the KSCA. In this case, the object will be removed from the List of newly discovered objects of cultural heritage according to the procedure.
