Nordic combined representatives Dmitry Mazurchuk and Vitaliy Grebenyuk won the second medal for Ukraine at the World Winter Universiade 2023, which is being held in the USA.

Ukrainians became bronze medalists in team competitions. After the ski jumps, Mazurchuk and Grebenyuk were in third position, which they retained at the end of the ski race, losing only to the Americans and the Japanese.

Recall that the first award at the Winter Universiade was brought to Ukraine by biathletes Yulia Gorodnya and Stepan Kinash, who showed a bronze result in the single mixed relay.

The Winter Universiade 2023 is a student competition in 12 sports. 43 teams are fighting in them.

The national team of Ukraine announced 60 athletes in eight disciplines for the tournament.
