Ukrainian biathlete Artem Prima will not take part in the fourth stage of the World Cup, which will be held in Pokljuka.
This was announced by the head coach of the team Juraj Sanitra in a comment Public Sport.
“At this time, at the beginning of the second trimester, we will suffer because of Artem Prim, who needs to make a correction due to health problems. To this were added the problems with the coronavirus, but, fortunately, without strong consequences,"
The athlete confirmed that he would not perform in Slovenia, although he would go there with the team. The Blue-Yellows included Anton Dudchenko, Bogdan Tsymbal, Taras Lesyuk, Ruslan Tkalenko and Vitaliy Mandzin.
The stage in Pokljuka will host the women's sprint (January 5), men's sprint (January 6), women's and men's pursuit races (January 7), single mixed and mixed relay.
Recall that Artem missed the Ukrainian biathlon championship due to injury.
At the last stage of the 2022 World Cup - in Annecy, France - Prima showed the best results of Ukraine this season, finishing in tenth position in the pursuit.
