The NBU and the systemically important banks of Ukraine have created a common POWER BANKING network, which already consists of a thousand branches, and will work during long blackouts. This was reported by the press service of the National Bank.

The map of branches of the POWER BANKING network is regularly updated on a separate web page of the NBU: https://power. bank. gov. ua.

The network unites all 14 systemically important banks. Their branches have become the basis of this network, to which other participants in the banking market join. Currently, more than 1,000 branches in all regions of the country are additionally equipped to work during the blackout. About 80% of them are branches of systemically important banks.

Under the blackout conditions, a certain list of urgent banking services will be available to all customers in the branches of the POWER BANKING network, namely:.

cash withdrawal (at ATMs or at the cash desk); payments, transfer of funds (at the cash desk or at self-service terminals); currency exchange (if there is cash in the cash desk); financial management advice.

POWER BANKING branches will work and provide banking services to customers even in a critical situation during the blackout. Branches are equipped with alternative energy sources and backup communication channels, have enhanced cash collection and additional staff.
