“Over the years, every time the light suddenly disappeared, where I lived or was, my memory immediately threw me this picture of our evenings in a sheepskin coat under a kerosene stove.. and I got scared. There were no explosions outside the window then, there was no need to run for shelter, in the morning you could bask under the covers and peacefully run to school, where everything was forgotten.
