Kudritsky stressed that tariffs for businesses will not be doubled from January 1. Ukrenergo plans to increase the tariff for transportation via main networks.

“We are not talking about any doubling of the cost of electricity for business. Today, the final price for most Ukrainian enterprises ranges from 5-6 UAH per kilowatt hour. This price includes both the price of electricity produced at power plants, and the tariff for the distribution of electricity by regional energy networks, and the Ukrenergo tariff, that is, the tariff for transmission through main networks,” he said..

According to him, this Ukrenergo tariff is on average less than 10% of the cost of electricity for businesses..

He noted that the increase in tariffs will be only 1.3-1.5% of the cost of electricity for business.

“So far, in the latest justifications of the regulator and in the draft decision posted on the regulator’s website, we are talking about raising the tariff for transportation through backbone networks by a few kopecks,” Kudritsky explained..

The head of the board of Ukrenergo stressed that the transportation tariff needs to be revised, but for business this will not be a burden similar to a doubling.

Will the electricity tariff for the population increase?.

In Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution according to which the special obligations of electricity market participants continue. This means that preferential electricity prices for residential consumers will not change until March 31, 2023.

So, in Ukraine, from October 1, 2021, the price of electricity is:.

UAH 1.44 per kWh with consumption up to 250 kWh per month;

UAH 1.68 per kW when using more than 250 kWh per month.

The electricity tariff for dormitories and collective household consumers is 1.68 UAH/kWh.

During the heating season 2022-2023, the tariff of 1.68 UAH/kWh is also valid for emergency and evacuation lighting, fire protection systems, ventilation, smoke removal and air conditioning systems, alarm systems and aircraft beacons.
