The head of the Servant of the People party, Olena Shulyak, apologized to the wounded defender, because of her visit to which a scandal erupted within the party.

“Like many of us, today I am not in the trenches under fire. But about how it is there - I know firsthand and saw it with my own eyes. And if any of my actions or words offended the fighter, I apologize. I definitely did not want this, did not plan and did not strive. And if it was perceived that way, I apologize, ”Shulyak wrote on her Facebook page..

She added that, like everyone else, she is in eternal debt to the military and volunteers who defend our state and expressed gratitude to all Ukrainian soldiers.

Recall that the scandal arose due to the visit of Olena Shulyak to the hospital, where a fighter of the 112th brigade and an activist of the People's Power party Oleg Simoroz, who was wounded in the war, is being treated.. According to the military, it opens the way to uncontrolled urban development.

During a conversation in the hospital, a dispute arose between Simoroz and Shulyak. Subsequently, a deputy from the Servant of the People, deputy head of the faction Galina Yanchenko called Shulyak's act unworthy and announced that she was leaving the party.

Yanchenko, who is one of the co-authors of the high-profile bill that stirred up society and voted for its adoption in the first reading, now calls it corrupt.
