On Thursday, December 1, the Croatian national team painted a draw with the Belgian national team in the match of the 3rd round of Group F of the 2022 World Cup. The match ended with the score 0:0.

In the 15th minute, the Croats could have been lucky - Yannick Carrasco overthrew one of the opponents on the lawn. The referee planned to award a penalty, but changed his original decision after VAR review.

At the beginning of the second half, Mateo Kovacic successfully played at the reception and, having received a pass on the penalty line, hit the Belgians under the crossbar, but the goalkeeper made a save.

Subsequently, the Belgian national team created several dangerous chances in a row. Carrasco received a convenient pass in the penalty area and immediately shot on goal, but the defender managed to block this shot at the last moment. Romelu Lukaku played the rebound, but hit the right post.
