“On the territory of the mentioned regions, we recorded dungeons, but on the territory of the Kherson region, for the first time, facts were established that at the same time men and women were kept together in cells for weeks around the clock.. And they haven't been released in weeks.. Women even had to go to the toilet in front of men, and men in front of women,” the Ombudsman said..

Lubinets also said that video cameras were installed in each cell for surveillance: recording was carried out around the clock with sound. This was told by Ukrainians who have been in such cells. According to them, as soon as they started talking about the occupation, people in masks ran into the cells and severely beat everyone..

Another shocking fact was a separate cell where teenagers were kept..

“We are now setting the age of teenagers. People say some guys looked like they were 14.. In other areas, we did not detect cameras for children or teenagers. But here, this rule did not work, ”the obmudsman said..

He noted that from the point of view of International Humanitarian Law, we are seeing a deterioration in the treatment of civilians: the worst and even more cynical manifestations of violations of the Geneva Conventions are recorded in the liberated territories.

“For me, it looks like when representatives of the Russian Federation saw people with a pro-Ukrainian position, this provoked them even more to resort to extremely cruel treatment..
