What will the weather be like this winter.

Forecasters noted that, based on the results of the analysis of temperature indicators in Ukraine over the past 30 years, they came to the following conclusions:.

in December-February, the average temperature is expected to be 1-2 degrees above the norm calculated for the period 1991-2020;

the probability of long periods of very cold weather with a minimum temperature of minus 25 to minus 30 degrees in Ukraine is very low;

in most cases, short-term significant cold snaps lasting from one to five days are possible, when the minimum temperature at night will be from minus 15 to minus 20 degrees in the north-east of the country to minus 26 degrees.

Forecasters also explained that the transfer of the beginning of the heating period to a later date and its end to an earlier date is justified and confirmed by meteorological calculations..
