In Transcarpathia, the railway line to the border with Romania was restored. This is reported by the information portal "

" For this, sometimes long-forgotten opportunities are used, such as, for example, the checkpoint Delovoe - Valea-Viseului with Romania in Transcarpathia, which can start working after a while,"

Ukrzaliznytsia restored two sections of the track to this checkpoint over the past two months. Railway workers built 19.3 km of track from Rakhiv to the state border and 1.1 km from the state border to Teresva, where there is another checkpoint for the railway connection Teresva - Kimpulung la Tisa.

Together with the points Berezino - Basarabiaska, Grebennoye - Rava-Russkaya and Strazhava - Krossenko (Poland), they will allow to unload the already operating points and increase the number of freight shipments.

However, it is precisely at the junctions with Romania that the situation with rail transportation remains the most difficult..

So, as of September 5, 2948 wagons were in line for the Vadul-Siret-Dorneshty crossing, and 826 units of rolling stock for the Dyakovo-Khalmeu junction.. At the same time, 377 wagons have been waiting in line for transfer since April..

Sections Rahov - Berlebash - state border and Teresva - state border have the potential to become the third and fourth junctions in the currently busiest direction on the border with Romania. According to Ukrzaliznytsia, their opening will allow sending an additional 6 pairs of freight trains daily.. This is an additional 3.5 million. tons of cargo per year.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, Berlebash-Valea-Visheului is considered as an additional checkpoint between Ukraine and Romania, which will allow unloading the already operating Diakovo-Halmeu and Vadul-Siret-Dornesti.

For Ukraine, the checkpoint Delovoye - Valea-Visheului may be important for exports. After all, this opens up another way to the Romanian port of Constanta, which acts as a logistics hub in the supply of Ukrainian exports to the countries of the world.. It should be noted that back in March, Ukraine agreed with Romania on the possibility of exporting Ukrainian agricultural products through this port.. And at the end of April, the first Ukrainian vessel with export grain for the EU departed from the Romanian port.

Currently, Ukraine exports grain to the EU by rail through Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Romania.. In August, Ukrzaliznytsia increased the transfer of wagons with grain cargo by 71 wagons. Currently, 469 grain carriers are sent abroad daily.

At the same time, the total queue for the transfer of wagons through the western border crossings in August decreased by 6.5 thousand. wagons (-21%). If at the end of July almost 31.6 thousand. wagons, then for a month this number is 25 thousand. rolling stock units.

Also, the number of grain carriers decreased by 15%: from almost 10 thousand. up to 8.5 thousand. units.
