In Russia, they decided to “strengthen” the effect of stopping the flow of gas through the Nord Stream gas pipeline with a propaganda video in which they threaten Europe with a cold winter without Russian gas.

A video titled "

At the beginning of the video, an employee of the company shuts off the gas, after which an ice age sets in, covering different cities of Europe. At the end of the video, a frosty spire rises above the white desert, and the off-screen voice sings the words from the song of the same name by Yuri Vizbor: “Only twilight and snow”.

Gas blackmailer deliberately manipulates: Russia is not the only supplier of natural gas.

Moscow has been working for years to become the main supplier of gas to the European market, and finding new suppliers will take time. Winter will be difficult, but Europe is definitely not in danger of freezing.

Many experts urge governments not to succumb to the Kremlin's blackmail and not ease sanctions against the aggressor. A split among European states is exactly what the Russian Federation is seeking.

Most countries have filled their gas storage facilities by more than half; in Europe, coal-fired thermal power plants are being actively reactivated, and nuclear power plants are being extended.

The export of hydrocarbons to Europe annually brought Russia billions of dollars in profit. And the European market was the main export market of the Russian Federation. With the stoppage of exports, the aggressor will annually lose $6.6 billion in profits (up to 400 billion rubles) in the form of lost tax revenues.

It will not be possible to fully compensate for losses due to new export markets even in the medium term. As a result, Russia will have to cut hydrocarbon production, which will jeopardize the Kremlin's goal of expanding supplies to the domestic market..
