Russian occupiers achieved complete disconnection of the Zaporizhzhya NPP from the power grid, Energoatom reported.

“Due to a fire at the ash dumps of the Zaporizhzhya TPP, located next to the Zaporizhzhya NPP, the last (fourth) communication line of ZNPP with the energy system of Ukraine, the 750 kV overhead line of ZNPP – Dniprovska, was disconnected twice,” the report says.. As a result, two operating power units of the station were disconnected from the network, the actions of the invaders led to the complete disconnection of the Zaporizhzhya NPP from the power grid - the first in the history of the station.

“The NPP’s own needs for power supply are now provided from the energy system of Ukraine through the ZNPP communication line – Zaporizhzhya TPP,” Energoatom reported..

Automation and security system of the station are working properly. Employees of the station are preparing to connect one of the power units to the network.
