In particular, the minister told the details of the Ukrainian Football Championship-2022/23. The start of the new UPL season is scheduled for August 23.

" So that during the war there were not many crowds of people at sporting events. The main thing is to comply with safety rules. That is, before the match, we work out with the military administration the conditions for holding, at what facilities, where, so that there is a shelter nearby, so that it is within a radius of 500 m. This applies to all sporting events: football, basketball or volleyball. We have resumed all domestic championships, so we will need to go through all the conditions without which our championships will not be held, in particular the UPL, which will begin on August 23.

Can we watch TV? Of course. Now we are working with the Association. We are working for our viewers to watch these matches,"

The minister also recalled the incredible successes of Ukrainian athletes during the war and stressed that, together with sports federations, he is making every effort to prevent athletes from aggressor countries from participating in international competitions..

" In such a difficult time, the sports front is very important for us, so that there are victories and everyone can see the Ukrainian flag, our athletes standing on a pedestal, talking about what is happening, who say to the whole world "

We work every day to prevent Russians and Belarusians from competing. Each federation operates at its own level. And I, as the president of the fencing federation, also work at my level so that fencers from the Russian Federation do not appear on the international arena. Because they have a desire to appear under a neutral flag. And we are working on not seeing Russians even under a neutral flag. Until the war is over so we don't see them at international competitions. It is very important on our diplomatic sports front to communicate with federations, show them videos, show photos of what is happening, how many sports arenas, grounds, stadiums have been destroyed, how many of our athletes have already died, how many athletes are defending our country,"

Earlier it was reported that Gutzeit told how many Ukrainian athletes and coaches were killed by rashists.
