The Ukrainian women's team won the Chess Olympiad 2022, which was held in Chennai, India.
The Ukrainian team was represented by Maria and Anna Muzychuk, Anna Ushenina, Natalia Buksa and Yulia Osmak.
In the final 11th round, the Ukrainians won a decisive victory over the Polish team with a score of 3:1. The winning games were played by Maria Muzychuk and Anna Ushenina, and the draw games by Anna Muzychuk and Natalia Buksa.
Tournament leader India in the last round sensationally lost to the USA (1:3), which allowed Ukraine to take first place and win the title. Initially, the 2022 Olympics was supposed to be held in Russian Khanty-Mansiysk, but due to the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, the tournament was moved to India.
