He was not included in the application.. The swimmer explained why this happened.

" Due to the fact that I started to compete in open water at the end of May 2022, from that moment there was only one start: in Serbia, just on the dates when I was at a training camp in Spain, I could not go there. , the European federation did not give me permission to compete at Euro 2022 in open water,"

The continental tournament will be held from 11 to 21 August in Rome.

Mikhail Romanchuk is the reigning 800m and 1500m European champion, both gold medals he received at Euro 2020.
