The Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill that established a monthly payment to the Ukrainian military who received the title of Hero of Ukraine or were awarded orders. 309 deputies voted for the corresponding decision, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak said.

So, according to the law, citizens who have received the title of Hero of Ukraine or a military order will receive the following financial assistance:.

in the amount of 3 minimum wages established on January 1 of the calendar year - to persons who were awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine with the award of the Order of the Golden Star;

in the amount of 2 minimum wages established on January 1 of the calendar year - to the knights of the Order of \;

in the amount of the 1st minimum wage, established on January 1 of the calendar year - to holders of the Order \;

In the event of the death of the defender of Ukraine, the right to payment will be given to the husband (wife), father, mother, if they are disabled or have reached retirement age, and the children of the victims.

The law will come into force on January 1, 2023.
