Students from the temporarily occupied territories will be able to study for free

Due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation, in Ukraine this year the introductory campaign is taking place with some changes. For students who lived in the temporarily occupied territory or in the war zone and studied on a paid basis, but lost this opportunity due to the war, conditions will be created for free education. This was stated by Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet, writes Osvita.. ua.

It is reported that the Cabinet of Ministers has adopted an order to compensate the corresponding costs to institutions of higher education.

“The government has issued an order to compensate higher education institutions for the education of applicants from the WTO and areas of active hostilities who have temporarily lost the ability to continue paying. While it is almost 14,000 students, compensation from the reserve fund will be carried out,” stressed Shkarlet.

Students who are internally displaced will be transferred to the budget if there are free places.

The head of the Ministry of Education added that the children of the fallen defenders and defenders of Ukraine would be immediately transferred to the places of state order.

It was previously reported that for graduates additional registration in the special session of the NMT will be available in August. Those who were unable to register for testing during the main and additional period will be able to do so during the special period.
