Zelensky appoints new commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Hryhoriy Galagan from the post of Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and appointed Viktor Khorenko to his post. This was reported on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The press service of the Presidential Office published Zelensky’s decree No. 530/2022 on the dismissal of Galagan, as well as No. 531/2022 on the appointment of Khorenko.

Recall, Major General Grigory Galagan took office as Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on August 25, 2020. Then the head of state set him the task of continuing to develop all components of the MTR.
