Former champion of Ukraine in water polo Vitaliy Lisun died in a battle with Russian invaders.

This was reported by the Water Polo Federation of Ukraine.

Lisun voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went on exercises abroad, after which he went to the front line and performed combat missions. 44-year-old fighter died in the Kharkov region.

In civilian life, Vitaliy Lisun was a state coach and a judge of the national category in water polo, and also worked for a long time as the secretary of the Water Polo Federation of Ukraine. As part of Dynamo Kyiv, he became the champion of Ukraine.
