Ukrainian servicemen will no longer pay military dues: Zelensky signed the law

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed law No. 7432 “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine on the specifics of taxation of the military levy on the monetary support of military personnel and other persons directly involved in hostilities under martial law,” the parliament’s website says..

The law exempts servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the SBU, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the State Border Service, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Security Department, the State Special Communications Service and other legal military formations from paying military dues.

Military tax in Ukraine was introduced in 2014 in the amount of 1.5% of wages. In 2014-2021, its receipts amounted to UAH 131.9 billion, including UAH 28.6 billion in 2021.
