By its Decree No. 477-r of June 14, the Cabinet of Ministers ordered Naftogaz to direct 95% of its profits to pay dividends for 2021. The amount of net profit received by Naftogaz for 2021 became known from the document.

" hryvnia (UAH 12.398 billion, - ed.. ) - are sent for the payment of dividends to the state budget,"

The company will allocate another 5% of net profit in the amount of UAH 652.575 million to reserve capital. Dividends must be paid by June 30, taking into account the amount that Naftogaz paid in advance.

Recall that in October 2018, the government imposed special obligations on Naftogaz to sell gas for heat utilities (for the needs of the population) at a reduced price.

Naftogaz ended 2020 with a loss of more than 19 billion. UAH.

From August 2020. gas market launched in Ukraine.

In May 2021, the government deregulated gas prices for heat utilities. And, accordingly, the obligation of Naftogaz to sell blue fuel at a fixed price. After that, Naftogaz began selling gas at the market price.

True, the auditors did not get from Naftogaz what this market price consists of.. In particular, in July 2021, the Chairman of the State Audit Service of Ukraine, Gennadiy Plis, stated that due to the non-admission of inspections, the auditors could not find out how Ukrgasvydobuvannya, which is part of the structure of NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy, forms the selling price for gas produced in Ukraine.
