On the night of June 17, a Russian warship twice violated the boundaries of Danish territorial waters north of the port of Christianso. Apparently, we are talking about a site near the island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea. Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod announced the crossing of the maritime border on his Twitter.

“Deeply irresponsible, gross and completely unacceptable Russian provocation. Deterrent methods do not work against Denmark. The Russian ambassador was urgently summoned to the Foreign Ministry,” the head of the diplomatic department commented on the incident, adding the hashtag #WeAreNATO.

The incident was repeated in the area twice. The ship left the territorial waters of the country only after a civil radio signal from the Danish Navy.

So far, there are no comments from the Russian side regarding the message of Copenhagen.

Recall that the other day, Denmark and Canada settled a long-standing dispute: now a land border has appeared between them..
