In the Zhytomyr region, a Ukrainian language teacher will be tried for publicly denying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. This was announced by the Office of the Attorney General.

“Prosecutors of the Zhytomyr district prosecutor’s office filed an indictment against a local resident in court on the fact of public denial of armed aggression against Ukraine, the establishment and approval of the temporary occupation of a part of the territory of Ukraine and public calls to support the decisions and actions of the aggressor state (h. 1 st. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),"

In particular, the investigation found that a Ukrainian language teacher from one of the schools in Zhytomyr, at a meeting of the methodological association of teachers, convinced her colleagues that there was no war in Ukraine, but a “military special operation” of the Russian armed forces, which help the “brotherly” Ukrainian people.

The teacher claimed that the Ukrainian media misinform the population about the consequences of the occupation in cities and villages, and called the executions of civilians in Bucha staged plots.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the district police department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Zhytomyr region.
